The Guarana plant grows mainly in the Amazone area and climbs up against the enormous trees of the rain forests to a height of 60 metres. Twice a year it bears fruit, which has always been used by the indians as a restorative. The nuts of this plant has a high percentage of caffeine, which accounts for the stimulating effect of Guarana. The guarana-caffeine bond is extremely strong and is therefore only very slowly dissolved in the gastro-intestinal tract. Compared to coffee, guarana works milder, gentler and slower. It develops its stimulating influence over a period of up till six hours. Thanks to this natural delay guarana is ideal for a refreshing stimulation without the heightened strain on the stomach, heart and circulation. That's why guarana is, in general, more easily digested than coffee; it is an ideal remedy to conquer temporary stress situations, especially mental and physical exertions as well as what is often called the excessive demand syndrome.
In addition, guarana contains important minerals and improves the general feeling of well being.
